  • EA stellt Support für ältere CnC Teile ein!

    EA stellt den Support für die älteren CnC Teile bis einschließlich Renegade ein, davon sind natülich auch alle Addons betroffen! Aus der Community gibt es ordentlich was zu hören! EEBKiller, ein Community Mitglied, schrieb: „C&C geht allmählich den Bach runter und ****** EA is dran Schuld“. Aus der Community finden diese Worte große Bestätigung, wobei das EA zum umdenken bewegen sollte!

    Gefunden auf dem Renegade Board bei n00bstories.com, dem offiziellen Nachfolger:
    Thank you for your interest in this Westwood title. Unfortunately, as our library of games expands, some of our older titles are moved from Live Support to self-help only support so we can continue to provide the best support possible for our newer titles. Although we truly appreciate your interest in this title, support for Command and Conquer, Command and Conquer Gold, Command and Conquer Red Alert, Command and Conquer Red Alert 2, Command and Conquer Renegade, Command and Conquer Tiberian Sun, and all of the associated expansion packs now exists only in an „as-is“ state of support. Unfortunately, after a certain point in the life cycle of a game, it reaches a point where it will not work acceptably with newer components and operating systems in many cases. In addition, we reach a point where there are no new updates available for the game. At that point it is no longer possible for us to correct new issues that may occur with a game due to new hardware and software.
    Currently, all of the known issues and resolutions for these titles are contained in our Self-Help knowledge base at http://eatech.custhelp.com. This includes information about getting the games installed, online and offline play issues, and all of the other available knowledge about these titles. Again, we’re very sorry that we cannot provide more support for these specific titles, but please contact us again for help with other EA products and services.

  • ACHTUNG: Betaklau! Reborn ernsthaft in Gefahr!

    Die Reborn interne Betaphase wurde letzte Woche gestartet, und schon gibt es Leute die der Meinung sind es unter die Community bringen zu müssen. Um dieses Hinterhältuige Verhalten nicht auch noch zu unterstützen werde ich den Link zu dieser Seite nicht posten, obwohl es jedem der die ganzen vielen Monate ja sogar schon mehr als ein Jahr hart an Reborn gearbeitet und solange auf diesen spitzenmod gewartet hat sicherlich gefallen würde wenn ich diese Person jetzt hier an den Pranger stellen würde.

    Ich bitte euch Ladet euch die Beta nicht herunter, gebt den Link nicht weiter ihr würdet damit alles kaputtmahcen was das Reborn Team solange getan hat um euch wenn der Mod fertig ist und das wird bald soweit sein, einen kostenlosen Spitzeklassemod liefern zu können.

    Die Beta die im Umlauf ist ist ziemlich unbalanciert, und daher vom balancing her fast unspielbar, gerät diese beta in Umlauf würden die erwartungen der hunderte Reborn Fans auf der ganzen welt zerstört werden weil sie nur eine unbalancte sammlung von neuen models in Renegade sehen würden. niemand würde die Final spielen weil alle enttäuscht waren und Reborn würde gnadenlos floppen. Und das war diese Lange Wartezeit die sowieso bald enden würde nicht wert oder?

    Im Übrigen möchte ich allen nocheinmal ein paar Rahmendaten aufzählen:

    Bei Verstoss gegen das Urheberrecht([B]egal ob mit oder ohne einem TM oder R)[/B], der in diesem Falle vorliegt kann von den Urhebern einfach eine einstweilige Verfügung erwirkt werden. Zudem möchte ich darauf hinweisen das sowas ein recht teurer spass werden könnte: Schadenersatz, Schmerzensgeld, Gerichtskosten und die Anwaltskosten der klagenden Partei
    Dies nur um Allen webmastern die mit dem Gedanken spielen die Beta auch auf ihren Server zu stellen, euer Hoster kann euch dafür ohne weiteres kicken/kündigen.

  • News über Patch 1.6

    Dear C&C Generals players,

    Just another short update for everyone.

    1. QuickMatch: We’ve done significant investigation and are still looking at the matchbot. We’ll have more on this later. In the meantime we’ve doubled our efforts to make sure that, if the server does fail, proper steps are taken to quickly get it back into service. We’re quite aware that it stinks when players look forward to playing and it doesn’t work. We’re watching it closely.

    2. Patch 1.6: Still working on this…nothing to add right now…Previously…Not too many specifics at this time – other than that we plan on releasing one. The driving issue is how the game specifies ports for firewalls. There is a bug in this code that prevents some players from reliably setting ports in some instances. This should offer more reliable work arounds so most players can play games over Generals Online. There are also some balance tweaks (some are unit bugs) we’re looking to do but we’ll have more info on this later. We also hope to include some more multiplayer/skirmish maps. No release date yet but we expect to see it in the next few weeks.

    3. Ladder Kit: Still working on this…nothing to add right now…Previously…This is in testing but other things are taking priority – primarily things noted in #2. We ARE working on it and it will come out asap.

    4. Contests: Col Burt has started the trivia contest. Check out the message in the online welcome screen to see more.

    5. Mismatch: We are continuing to evaluate. Thanks for all the helpful info everyone has posted. We will be disabling F4 in 1.6. This should help a bit too. While we’re still looking for a problem in the code, mismatches can also be caused by an opponent forcing a cheat…thus a mismatch. Either way, we’re continuing to look.

  • Anmeldung für das offizielle Foren Turnier ist vorbei

    Martinator und sein Team von den [URL=http://messagebrd.westwood.ea.com/cgi-bin/boards/gen-deutsch/ultimatebb.cgi]offiziellen deutschen Generals Foren[/URL] haben nun alle 32 Teilnehmer, dennoch kann man sich weiter anmelden, denn es kommt ja ab und zu vor, dass jemand auf einmal nicht kann und dann braucht man Spieler die nachrutschen, ansonsten würde ja das ganze KO-Turniersystem zusammenbrechen. Also, alle Anmeldungen gehen jetzt automatisch in eine Nachrutschliste, aber erwartet nicht zuviel.

  • Board-Turnier des offiziellen deutschen EA CnC Generals Forums

    Das offizielle Generals Board veranstaltet ein Generals Turnier. Das 1 on 1 Turnier startet am 9.5.2003 und endet am 11.5.2003, es können sich bis zu 32 Spielern anmelden. Die Anmeldung erfolgt nach dem Prinzip „Wer zuerst kommt malt zuerst!“ Also solltet ihr euch schnell anmelden um die schönen Preise abzustauben von denen ihr auf der [URL=http://the_black_shadows.cdaweb.de/Turnier/main.php]Turnier Page[/URL] einige Bilder und Informationen bekommt.
