  • Vorschau auf Generals Patch 1.5

    Harvard hat auf dem offiziellen Generals Board ein Preview für die voraussichtlichen Änderrungen des bald kommenden Patch 1.5 gepostet.

    1. STAT RECORDING INACCURACY: We have tracked down some specific issues and should have it fixed shortly.
    2. US BARRACKS EXPLOIT: Fix in process.
    3. BUGGY MISSILE TRACKING AFTER UPGRADE: Fix in process.
    4. GLA CAPTURE POWER BUG: Fix in process.
    5. GLA LOW POWER OVERALL: Since the game was balanced with this in mind, we will not be making a major overhaul. We have, however, gone back and reviewed some key values which may have weaknened the GLA unintentionally. Certain changes are being made and we’ll have an update later.
    6. MiG BLACK NAPALM: Fix in process.
    7. GLA FAST BUILD BUG: Fix in process.
    8. MAKE DEMO TRAPS REQUIRE BARRACKS, NOT ARMS DEALER: Consulting with design. No decision yet but doubtful due to some other tweaks on each side.
    9. BOMBARDMENT DOESN’T AFFECT AIR UNITS: Intended…there will be no fix.
    10. EARLIER REPLAYS DON’T WORK AFTER 1.4: True…this will not be fixed as the patch essentially means the replays are from differing versions.

    11. CASE’S LADDER IMPROVEMENTS: Working with Case’s to address the issues listed. In process.
    12. SOME PEOPLE DIDN’T GET THE OFFICER’S CLUB: Check with Customer Service. They will send you one. If the retailer didn’t give you one then we’ll make sure you’re taken care of.
    13. COMMAND BAR MISCLICKS: The game registers clicks like Windows. It’ll register when the button rises again after a click, not at depression. Likely we will not address for 1.5 but will in the future.
    14. STUCK TOMOHAWK MISSILES: Looking at it.
    15. SERIOUS ERRORS: We’ve fixed many of them but please continue to send your info to seriouserror@ea.com with your EAsy Info. We’ll try to help as many of you as we can.
    16. VARIOUS ROUTER & CONNECTIVITY ISSUES: We continue to work on these.
    17. GENERAL BALANCING ISSUES: Making some tweaks. No specifics yet…will update everyone later.
    18. DOUBLE AURORA BOMB NO DAMAGE: Looking at it.

    We’re continuing to watch the boards and will address the largest issues. To make sure 1.5 is released in a timely fashion, we need to priortize correctly.

  • Shortnews: Nervige deutsche Sounds?

    Auf Generals World gibts jetzt ein Sprachpack das aus den deustchen Sounds englische macht!

    Texte usw. bleiben im Übrigen so wie sie waren. ca. 90.5 MB gross.

  • Patch 1.4 ist draussen!(AUCH IN DEUTSCH)

    Patch 1.4 mit vielen Änderungen ist draussen.
    Ihr könnt ihn komfortabel über Autoupdate saugen indem ihr euch in Generals online einloggt oder ihn über den EA FTP ziehen. (Link dazu ist angehangen)

    Hier die Änderungen(VERÄNDERTER AUSZUG AUS DER README):
    – Changed the rules for disconnections. Now, only the players who disconnect from the game or physically lose their connection to the Internet are charged with a disconnect.

    – Added a new 25s rule on Generals online. Now, online matches need to be played for over 25s in order to record a win, loss, or disconnect. This is to discourage players from artificially bolstering their rank and stats through a dummy account.

    – Fixed occurrences of the same game appearing multiple times in the lobby. Generals now actively removes duplicate games in order to make finding and joining matches easier.

    – All the chat rooms in the custom match lobby now have their own dedicated list of active games.

    – Fixed improper disconnections from the game lobby. You should no longer see the „Lost connection to Generals online“ error when your connection is still active.

    – Fixed language filter stability.

    – Added a new command line for mod developers that lets Generals run user-created content. Simply add the „-mod“ command line after the generals.exe target path, followed by the name of any user-created .big file or user-created directory. The correct path would like this: „C:Program FilesEA GamesCommand and Conquer Generalsgenerals.exe“ -mod MyGeneralsMod.big. All user-created content must be placed in the „Command and Conquer Generals Data“ folder within your „c:Documents and Settings“ directory.

    – Fixed the missing artwork for the „random private“ rank in Generals online.

    – Fixed the rank hack where some players appear to have a higher rank than they should.

    – Increased the allowed time for game to negotiate matching between players.

    – Fixed some instances of the „serious error“ crash.

    – Added a new 4 player Multiplayer Map: Rogue Agent

    – Implemented the following balance changes:
    • Tunnel Network build speed increased from 5 seconds to 20 seconds.
    • Marauder hit points increased from 430 to 490.
    • Stealth Fighter hit points increased from 120 to 140.
    • Explosion damage done by Chinese Nuke Tanks when they are destroyed is reduced from 25 to 10.
    • Nuke Cannon changed so it moves the same speed when damaged, not faster.
    • Aurora speed increased from 90 to 120 after it drops its bomb. Damaged speed increased from 60 to 120.

    Make sure to check the message boards at www.generals.ea.com for user suggested workarounds.

    Havard bonin hat den Patch für heute gecancelt, er wird erst morgen erscheinen:

    Sorry for the delay but we’ll be posting Patch 1.4 tomorrow morning, Pacific time.

    We are making sure it is tested properly and we’d rather take the time to do it right.

    Die 3 Minutenregel wurde auf eine 25 Sekundenregeln geändert um ein fliehen aus Rushgames zu verhindern. Keine Panik der GBA-Rush wurde trotzdem abgeschwächt, da die Bauzeit für einen Tunnel erhöht wurde.

    Im Übrigen kommt der Patch (der im Übrigen zu Montag bzw Dienstag angekündigt war) irgendwann im laufe des Tages bzw des morgigen Tages.

    Dear C&C Generals players,

    After reviewing the boards and collecting player comments for the last couple of weeks we’ve decided to alter the 3:00 rule. The duration will be shortened to 25 seconds instead. This should be enough time for players to decide if the connection speed is good enough for them, etc. but not enough to jump out of a failed early rush and not get a penalty.

    Games must last for longer than 25 seconds to be recorded as a valid match.

    The readme docs may be inaccurate (may list 3:00, not 25 seconds) since we’re making the change at the last minute.
