Laut einer offiziellen EA Job-Anzeige wird ein neuer Command and Conquer Community Manager gesucht. Damit dürfte auch für den letzten in der Community eines mit Gewissheit klar sein – C&C ist nicht tot!
Es ist schon einige Zeit her, seitdem APOC seinen Dienst quitiert hatte und auch Goodman scheint für diese große Aufgabe nicht auszureichen, nicht zuletzt weil er schon eine Hand voll anderer Communities betreut. Der neue Community Manager soll daher einzig und allein der C&C Franchise zur Verfügung stehen. Gesucht wird also ein „neuer APOC“.
Diese Nachricht lässt uns hoffen, dass EA aus seinen Fehlern gelernt hat. Und wenn dies der Fall ist, kann es ohnehin nur noch Bergauf gehen, denn ein tieferes Loch in die C&C Gemeinde, wie vor einigen Monaten mit C&C4, kann man wohl kaum noch schießen. Gemeint ist damit, dass die Community durch diesen Titel weiter gespalten wurde, nicht zuletzt durch sein ungewöhnliches Spielkonzept. Es bleibt also abzuwarten, ob der zukünftige Community Manager und auch das neue C&C die Fans wieder unter einem Banner vereinen können.

The EA Games Label is currently searching for a passionate, motivated, and experienced Community Manager (CM) for its Command & Conquer™ franchise! The CM position demands an outgoing and creative individual who is passionate about games, online communities, and staying up to speed on industry and technology trends. This role will work closely with the marketing and development teams to ensure a world class community management program. The CM will be a prominent voice for our active forums, maintaining an active social network presence, executing major live events, creating and distributing community content, and maintaining the franchise website. The CM will work with cross-functional teams to serve as the global franchise community lead, being the centralized point of contact for territory community managers. In-depth knowledge of C&C and RTS games are a key to success in this role.
