This mod is based on BT2DC and I would like to thank them for all of their effort. The main reason for this mod comes from me mostly playing on my LAN with family and friends and we did not want to learn 2 separate games and wanted RotWK to be an expansion of BFME2. We don‘ t all have time to learn 2 games very well and it was daunting for some to pick up the expansion.

In the zip attached is a complete change list of all changes to the game from the 1.07 state. I’ve incorporated nearly all of BT2DC, including Leadership, heroes, creep rewards, inn units, armors, stats, etc. Some of the changes are as follows:

(1) Angmar and new heroes aligned to the 1.07 system
(2) Mini-horde heroes now respawn at level 2 (Isengard, Mordor, & Goblins receive an extra unit at level 2 and MotW, Dwarves, & Elves receive a banner carrier.
(3) Siege weapons from RotWK kept, except they move at a slower rate and do a small percentage to allies instead of 0%.
(4) Wall armor now 150% armor to Siege from 200%
(5) Spearmen now a light pikemen at the speed of archer, and towerguards available at level 3 barrack and given a boost (Think more like BFME1)
(6) Level 3 costs for most unit producing buildings with mini-heroes raised to 500 from 350
(7) All mini-Heroes now have a type of Hero armor (Knights – Mounted, Black Riders – Mounted, Dwarves – Hero, Elves – Light Hero, Goblins – Drake Armor, Isengard – Light Hero)
(8) Frost now does more damage than flame to units (except Dwarves and Angmar and other units that don’t make sense – Ents, etcs) and less to structures.
(9) Gothmog, Azog, & Karsh now have a new ability
(10) Dale – Weapon speed increased and damage reduced. Beastslayer does less damage, quicker reload time and available at level 3 and slam at level 7.
(11) Mordor trolls speed slightly decreased but charge % increased
(12) Arnor a playable faction (not yet balanced) and can use Good CaHs
(13) New units aligned to BFME2 armor system
(14) Thrall Master command points increased to 50, build time increased to 25, axethrowers now 100, and 3 second summon unit time from 1 second

Also a slew of other balance items to bring new units in line. All changes are found in the .txt file.

I hope you enjoy this first version. More changes to come.

Three small fixes have been added.
(1) Tower guards build button now longer disappears
(2) Orc Archers can now correctly buy fire arrows
(3) Spider Holes are now 400 from 500

As a reminder, right now to install the correct tooltips follow the instructions below
1. Go to your installation folder. (By default – C:Program FilesElectronic ArtsThe Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king)
2. Inside the lang folder make a backup of the English.big file (The mod is currently only for the English language. If someone else wants to help with other languages, I would not mind help)
3. Copy the English.big file from the zip file into the folder

If anyone else knows a better way to update the tooltips it would be most appreciated.
